Kimberly Cavoores is the Wine Director at Marta and Vini e Fritti, Union Square Hospitality Group’s (USHG) Roman-inspired restaurants located in The Redbury New York Hotel. Kimberly found her start in the hospitality industry at age 15, but it wasn’t until she began working for Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette, while also pursuing a bachelor's degree in public relations at Boston University, that she became fascinated by the world of wine.
While working with Ken and Jamie, Kim spent time at Toro, Coppa and Uni in Boston, working various front of house positions before making the decision to focus on becoming a sommelier. In 2012, Kimberly moved to New York City to join the team at Terroir Wine Bar in the East Village, before moving on to work for Aviram Turgeman at the French-focused restaurants Marseille and Cafe d’Alsace.
Kimberly first joined USHG in 2017 as a sommelier at Maialino, before ultimately assuming the role of Wine Director at Marta and Vini e Fritti in 2018, where she oversees the wine programs for both restaurants.
